Henry J. DeCicco, 97.

NEW BEDFORD — Henry J. DeCicco, 97, of New Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at the New Bedford Health Care Center, after a period of declining health. He was the husband of the late Alice (Nunes) DeCicco; son of the late Vincenzo James and Mariangela (Dadesio) DeCicco; and stepson of the late Roseangela Solometa.

He was a lifelong resident of New Bedford. He was formerly employed at Giusti Baking Co., until his retirement.

In his leisure time he enjoyed gardening, yard work and could be often seen at the YMCA swimming and working out.

Survivors include his daughter, Carol A. Blouin and her husband, George of New Bedford; three grandchildren, David Blouin and his wife, Paula of Florida, Kenneth Blouin and his wife, Patricia of New Bedford and Trisha Guillermo and her husband Stephen of Hawaii; fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Marion Patterson of Fairhaven; several nieces and nephews.

He was the grandfather of the late Kathleen Bailey; and brother of the late Joseph, Salvatore, Pat, John, Annie and Louise DeCicco.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to American Cancer Society, 538 Preston St. — PO Box 1004, Meriden, CT 06450.

Visitation will be this evening 5-8 PM at Rock Funeral Home. His Funeral Services will be in the Funeral Home on Friday at 10:30 AM. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery.
